President Bola Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France, on Wednesday for a two-week working visit. According to a statement from Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visit will focus on evaluating the administration’s mid-term performance and assessing key milestones. The statement, titled “President Tinubu to embark on working visit to Paris,” was released on Wednesday.
Our correspondent observed the President’s convoy leaving his official residence around 11:00 am local time. During the visit, the President plans to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary. This retreat will offer a time for reflection, guiding plans to deepen reforms and fast-track national development priorities for the upcoming year.
The statement also highlighted the President’s recent economic successes, noting that the Central Bank of Nigeria reported a significant rise in net foreign exchange reserves, which now stand at $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023. This increase underscores the administration’s commitment to fiscal reforms.
