Galatasaray set to trigger Osimhen’s release clause 17th March 2025

Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly poised to activate the €75 million release clause for Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen, aiming to make his loan move permanent at the end of the season, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

As reported by Nexus, Galatasaray’s management has decided to take decisive action to secure Osimhen’s services permanently, recognizing his significant impact following his outstanding performances in the Süper Lig.

The 26-year-old has been in remarkable form, scoring 20 goals and providing four assists in 22 league matches since joining the club.

Since acquiring Osimhen on loan from Napoli, Galatasaray has expressed a strong desire to retain the player permanently, but they will face competition from other clubs, particularly in the English Premier League.

Osimhen, who turned down a move to Chelsea last summer, has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United, while Arsenal is also reportedly interested in activating the €75 million release clause.

Despite thriving in Turkey, the striker remains uncertain about his future at the club. “To be honest, I don’t know. A few months ago, nobody thought I would come here,” Osimhen told reporters in the mixed zone after their goalless draw against Fenerbahce.

“I never believed I would join a club as prestigious as Galatasaray. For me, I live in the moment. We will see what happens in the summer, and I want everyone to know that I love this club and everyone associated with it.

“It’s truly a privilege to be here, and I’m really enjoying my time.”

Amid speculation regarding potential moves to the Premier League, Roma legend Roberto Pruzzo has also indicated that reliable sources suggest Victor Osimhen will join Juventus in the summer transfer window.
